The freedom every parent wants
for their child

Sometimes the biggest breakthrough isn’t better reading. It’s watching the weight finally lift.

July, 2026

One of my favorite moments during a program isn’t when a student reads a difficult word.

It’s not when they finish a page.

It’s not even when their reading level improves.

It’s the moment their shoulders relax.

The moment they realize they aren’t broken.

The moment they stop fighting themselves.

That’s freedom.

Freedom from believing they’re the problem.

Freedom from carrying years of frustration.

Freedom from wondering why everyone else seems to have an easier time.

I’ve watched students walk into my office convinced they’re “bad at reading,” “bad at math,” or “not smart.”

And I’ve watched them leave with a completely different story about themselves.

Not because we changed who they are.

Because they finally understood how they learn.

And when that happens, everything begins to feel possible again.

A Different Way of Thinking

What if the way you’ve always thought about dyslexia isn’t the whole story?

I’d love to invite you to a private online viewing of the award-winning documentary WHO KNEW? Dyslexia is a Way of Thinking.

Whether you’re a parent, educator, or someone with dyslexia yourself, I think you’ll walk away with a different perspective on learning and the unique gifts that often accompany it.

As a thank-you for joining us, everyone who attends will be entered into a drawing to win a copy of The Gift of Dyslexia by Ronald D. Davis.

I hope you’ll join us!

💡 Questions I Hear Often from Parents

We’re a homeschooling family—can this approach help us too?

Absolutely.

In fact, many homeschooling families find this approach especially helpful.

You already know your child learns differently. You’ve likely tried to adjust, pivot, and find what works.

What we do is give you tools that match how your child’s brain naturally learns… so you’re no longer guessing.

It brings clarity, direction, and a way to move forward with confidence in your homeschool.

Clay Creation of the Month

Clay creation compliments of Ellie!

Email us a picture of one of your clay models that you would like to be shared in an upcoming newsletter.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to Jaxon on completing his Davis Mastery for Dyslexia program with Sydney!

One of Jaxon’s favorite moments came during a reading exercise when he stopped and asked, “Was that a different level? It was way easier!” The surprising part was that it was the exact same level he had been reading all along.

Throughout his program, Jaxon strengthened his reading and comprehension skills while learning tools to help him move through confusion more easily. During support training, his mom shared that she had never seen him read like that before.

Way to go, Jaxon! We are proud of all your hard work and accomplishments. 💙

🎉 Congratulations, Ellie! 🎉

When Ellie started her reading program, she wanted to better understand what she was reading, figure out difficult words, and no longer be bothered by letters like b and d, s and x, and s and z.

By the end of the program, those letters weren’t causing the same confusion, she was working through unfamiliar words with greater ease, and she felt more confident in her reading.

She was also reading and comprehending passages above her grade level.

One of the most meaningful changes was her understanding that not knowing something isn’t a problem. It’s simply becoming aware of something you haven’t learned yet.

Congratulations, Ellie! We’re proud of all you’ve accomplished. ❤️

When Xander began his program, he wanted reading to be easier. He wanted chapter books to feel less scary, writing letters to be easier, and he was determined to learn how to tie his shoes and spell the word “because.”

By the end of the program, he had met every one of those goals.

A few days later, his mom shared something that made me smile. Xander had sat down and read independently for 45 minutes. No one asked him to. No one reminded him. He simply picked up a book and started reading. Even better, he understood what he was reading.

She also noticed him reading words naturally when they were out and about, something he hadn’t done before.

These are the kinds of changes families often hope for. Not just improved skills, but a child who feels more comfortable, capable, and confident using those skills in everyday life.

Congratulations, Xander. We are so proud of you!

BOOK SPOTLIGHT

written by: NeuroWild

If your child enjoys graphic novels, you may want to add this one to your list.

Being Eve is a graphic novel from NeuroWild that offers a thoughtful glimpse into the world of a neurodivergent child. Through Eve’s experiences, readers gain a better understanding of how different people may experience emotions, relationships, and everyday situations.

One of the things I appreciate most is how it encourages understanding and curiosity. As I often say, every behavior makes sense when we understand the experience behind it.

I know many of the students and families I work with gravitate toward graphic novels, so this may be a wonderful way to open conversations and build understanding.

The book is scheduled to be released in August 4th so you may want to pre-order a copy or add it to your wish list now.

We have hope and help for Dyslexia, ADHD, Executive Functioning, and Autism. It’s easy to get started! Just reply to this email or call 763-250-0485.
