In a new perspective. A new way of trying.

I talk to a lot of tearful moms.
Sometimes on the phone, sometimes in person.
And sometimes they find my booth at a conference.
As they share the struggles that their child has been facing, empathy fills my heart because I was there, too.
I know how it feels to love your child more than anything and to feel crushed that you can’t help them more.
I know how it feels to hold my child in my arms and feel their tears soak into my shirt after a hard day of school.
I know how it feels to meet with teacher after teacher, trying to help my child catch up.
I’ve been there.
I’ve been the one on my phone, late at night, searching groups and searching online, trying to find help.
Trying to find a solution.
It’s heart-wrenching.
But there is hope.
Hope often comes in ways we didn’t expect.
In a new perspective.
A new way of trying.
Doing more of the same that isn’t working isn’t likely to be the answer.
